General Info

i

The course is intended for healthcare physicians who treat unstable patients in various settings and are interested in using ultrasound to aid their diagnosis and treatment. The participants will be able to use echocardiography and other ultrasound applications in these patients as a tool that supports diagnosis and decision-making and will reach a level where they can continue to use these tools in their work. The course will be divided into two platforms - online lectures that will be sent to the participants before the start of the course and hands-on practice sessions in small groups.

Course Description

  • The course is designed to train clinicians without prior knowledge in the US field and those who wish to deepen and improve existing knowledge for treating unstable patients in various disciplines, such as intensive care, emergency medicine, anesthesia, pediatrics, and internal medicine.

  •  An introduction to ultrasound, in general, particularly echocardiography, is provided. A basic understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the heart and significant heart diseases will be studied.

  • The participants will learn in small groups the use of the device and the various instructors, clinical cases will be presented, and practice will be carried out at workstations. This is intended to give the participants a broad basis in understanding the subject as well as hands-on training that will allow them to continue progressing in using this tool in the workplace.

  • The course combines clinical discussions in small groups, the possibility of access from home to a high-quality network for self-study, group and personal practice on healthy models, and repetition of the practice on each of the four days of the course in order to ensure the ability to use it independently in the future.

  • Access to lecture videos, including pathological clips, will be available from home.

  • The course will include hands-on training using the world's most advanced simulator for heart, lung, and stomach pathologies.

  • Limited number of participants!
