IsraPOCUS Academy, established in 2013, operates under the Simulation Center at Ben Gurion University’s School of Health Professions in collaboration with Soroka Medical Center. The center comprises content experts and doctors who utilize POCUS daily, playing a pivotal role in advancing the field of POCUS in Israel

We proudly present a distinctive program tailored for diverse target audiences:

  1. Comprehensive Course for Hospital Doctors:

    • This course is designated for hospital doctors nationwide and covers a range of POCUS utilization as part of the improved physical examination of patients, including examinations of the abdomen, heart, lungs, blood vessels, musculoskeletal tissue (MSK), and hemodynamic assessment using POCUS.

    • Hundreds of graduates have successfully assimilated the tools acquired during this course, as evidenced by the research outcomes we have published.

  2. POCUS Integration in Medical Education:

    • Ben Gurion University’s medical school incorporates POCUS into its multi-year curriculum, granting credits for medical studies.

    • This integration ensures that future healthcare professionals are well-versed in the application of ultrasound for diagnostic purposes.

  3. Community-Centric Training:

    • Our center adapts content to meet community needs through modular training for community care physicians affiliated with major healthcare providers.

    • Training is customized based on individual requirements, allowing practitioners in clinics to complete their education.

    • Clinical application occurs during concentrated sessions at various medical centers.

Arrival from Soroka Gate:

Turn right immediately after entering the university, and pass building 25 (the "Husidman" center for science-seeking youth) to building 27, which is east of it.
 

Arrival from the train gate:

Continue straight along the road until it curves, and at the curve turn left. Pass building 26 which will be on the right. Building 27 south of it.


Nearby parking:
The "BS-North" train station parking lot is about a 10-minute walk from the complex. You can park at the blue-white markings on Ben Gurion St., next to the complex.
